The influence of symbols and mythology can be found all around us on a daily basis, and understanding it is like knowing a secret language that the vast majority of people have no idea about. It opens up a world of ideas, a better understanding of different cultures, and provides an insight into a multitude of different perspectives.

Sophia Wilson

SophiaSophia is our head writer, here at Rockridge Institute – The Spirit Magazine, and is a Certified Dream Analyst, author, podcast personality, speaker, and a member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams. The IASD is a worldwide organization that conducts and encourages research into the function, nature, and significance of dreaming.

She is obsessed with updating her dream journal, capturing all the strange and fascinating adventures she experiences while asleep. And uses this information to help her analyze and decipher dreams for tens of thousands of people worldwide. She is also working on her first book, ‘Dreams and their Meanings’ which is due to be published next year.

Sophia also writes for a number of newspapers, monthly publications, and websites, sharing her knowledge and love of dreams and their meanings.
She enjoys playing the piano, dinner parties with friends, and taking her German Shepherd, Ben, for walks around her home in Boston, Massachusetts.

Emma Miller

EmmaEmma Miller has enjoyed working as a writer for over 18 years and holds a Master’s Degree in Linguistics and Education, but has also studied Ancient History and Engish Literature. She is fascinated by the science of dreams and is a long-time member of the International Association for the Study of Dreams

She has a wide range of hobbies and interests, ranging from mythology and ancient cultures to the works of J.R.R. Tolkein and taking care of her extensive garden.

Emma works as one of the staff writers of Rockridge Institute – The Spirit Magazine but also enjoys writing about other topics that interest her for various publications and websites.

She lives with her husband, Tom, and their two cats, Mitzy and Frodo, in San Diego, California.

Liam Johnson

LiamLiam has a Ph.D. in History, with a particular interest in ancient Egyptian history. And is a specialist in Egyptian art, religion, and culture, especially during the Predynastic period.

He works as one of our staff writers, here at Rockridge Institute – The Spirit Magazine but also especially enjoys writing film reviews, even more so, if the subject matter is historical. He also writes for various other publications and websites when he has time.

Liam has a passion for walking, camping, and rock climbing and lives with his girlfriend, Charlotte, and their two sons, William and Henry, in Rochester, New York.

Olivia Moore

OliviaOlivia is a writer and Literature major who is interested in studying ancient civilizations, symbolism, history, and how these subjects have shaped modern thought and culture. She has specialized in Greek mythology, a subject that has always stimulated her passion for learning.

In her free time, Olivia enjoys going to the cinema, reading the classics, and playing with her kittens, Rocky and Fluffy. She lives with her husband, David, and their daughter, Samantha, in Aberdeen, Washington State.
